Beyond “Basic” Pumpkin Spice

Coming to Beyond Chiropractic for just aches and pains is like going to Starbucks for plain black coffee.  Your nervous system is how you experience the spice of life and we're not just talking about pumpkin spice.

It's not that wanting to get rid of your aches and pains is a bad thing. Trust us when we say, "we get it". No one wants to be in pain. When you seek someone to take your pain you're are looking for greater comfort in your body and your life.  We're saying comfort is not where it's at. Comfort is a resting point. Life begins and ends in the comfort zone.

So how do you start getting comfortable with being uncomfortable?

Ask yourself some questions:
What does your symptom or symptoms mean?
What would you do with your time free of your complaints?
If you feel ill, why do you think so?
If you feel well, why do you think so?
What has happened in your life to get you to this point?
Use the answers to these questions to help guide your everyday thoughts, feelings, and actions to find a new level of health and wellness.

Why are we asking you to do this exercise? Well, there is a growing model of health care called Re-organizational Healing that is changing the landscape of how we view health and wellness.  This model isn't about finding a new destination on an existing map. It's about building your own map of possibilities and developing your own unique strategies for living. In this new model, the outcomes of your care aren't just about 'fixing' your problem. The outcome is about getting you to a place where you can live your life with more passion, more compassion, more joy, a place where you know your gifts and you share them openly. Lastly, it's about being more in tune with yourself, with others, your culture, your world to create lasting positive change. How's that for the [pumpkin] spice of life?
